International Business Transactions  (IMS6202)

Course Description:

Legal environment and framework affecting international business transactions: sales contracts, the movement of goods and services across borders, non-establishment forms of business such as agency/distributor agreements and licensing, documentary credits and trade finance transactions, intellectual property protection, unauthorized channels of distribution, contract disputes and dispute resolution, and corporate conduct and standards. Prerequisite: IMS 5200.

George Barnes is Senior Lecturer, International Management Studies, and Director, Global MBA Online program. Prior to joining the international management studies faculty in 1987, he spent 16 years in international assignments at Mobil Oil and Citibank.
