Prospective Students

The Global MBA Online (GMBA) extends delivery of the School's professional MBA to students who cannot commit to regularly scheduled classes on campus. The GMBA is taught by nationally recognized full-time faculty who also teach in the on-campus MBA program. |
The GMBA is 53 credit hours, anchored by the same 29 hours of core courses as the MBA delivered in the classroom. Electives (24 hours) draw from the School's academic areas of International Management, Marketing, Information Management Systems, Accounting/Finance and Organizational Behavior.
Admission requirements and tuition are basically the same as the professional MBA at UTD. Like the campus-based program, courses are offered during the three regular semesters, which start in January, May and August. Students are not organized into distinct classes (cohort groups) but select course loads consistent with their own part-time pace. There is no residency requirement: courses are completely online and the program requires no campus visits (unless UTD is chosen as a proctored exam site).
The Global MBA Online dispels time and place as obstacles to earning a degree and extends delivery of the School's existing MBA resources to students who can't commit to regularly scheduled classes on campus. These students - really our customers, are individuals who may live outside the UTD geographic area or travel extensively for their organizations. Also they may have relocated to other cities prior to finishing their UTD degree and don't want to forfeit their accumulated credits.
