Degree Plan, Overview

The 53 academic credits required for the degree consist of:
  • 29 basic business core hours
  • 24 elective hours (recommend 12 hours be used towards a concentration)

Many students work as interns during the summer after the first year and receive elective credit for that experience. We also offer a Business Communications course and career management activities to improve presentation and interviewing skills.

Given the focus of the cohort program, professors employ cases and projects that teach managing in an information environment.

Beyond the required business core, students may take electives in one functional area or design their own specialization. These concentrations fit the interests of each student, allowing you to distinguish yourself uniquely. Popular concentrations range from traditional areas such as accounting and marketing to specialized areas in project management and information technology management.
